How wide are the shoes?Updated 2 months ago
We currently offer only one standard wide width in our shoes.
While the Savage 1 features a wide toe box (95mm in a men’s size 9- 90mm in Women's 9) for added comfort and natural toe splay, it’s not designed to accommodate specialty widths like 3E, 4E, etc.
If you have special considerations like bunions, arthritis swelling, longer toes, or other foot conditions, we recommend sizing up a half size. Some customers with slightly wider feet have had success sizing up, but it likely won’t provide the fit you’re used to with a true wide-width specialty shoe.
We do have customers with specialty sizes who find the shoes work well for them. The insoles are removable, so they can be swapped out for aftermarket versions to improve comfort.
For the Savage 1 Classics, these are made of leather, so they will feel stiffer than our original trainers, but they do break in with wear. Of course, everyone’s feet are different, so fit can vary. We offer free size exchanges for US addresses if the size you ordered doesn’t quite fit.
That said, we’re actively working on expanding our sizing and specialty width options in future models!
