Why won’t my discount code work on certain items?
Some Born Primitive products are excluded from promotional pricing and are not eligible for additional discounts. This may include promo codes, welcome offers, Pro Deals, GovX, ambassador discounts, affiliate offers, and other promotional pricing unless a promotion specifically states otherwise.
Common exclusions may include select tactical products, TAA products, Pro products, specialty items, limited-edition releases, factory blemished products, and other designated merchandise.

Can I receive an exception?
No. Products designated as non-discount eligible are not eligible for manual discounts, promotional exceptions, or price adjustments.
What if my cart contains both eligible and excluded items?
If your order includes both eligible and excluded products, your discount will automatically apply only to qualifying items. Excluded products will remain at their current price.
Will excluded items ever go on sale?
From time to time, select excluded products may be included in a specific promotion if the offer explicitly states that they are eligible.
Unless a promotion specifically includes an otherwise excluded product, it remains ineligible for discounts and promotional pricing.
Can I use a promo code during a site-wide sale or on sale items?
Promo codes generally cannot be combined with site-wide sales or applied to items that are already discounted, including clearance items. During these promotions, the sale price is already the best available price, so additional discounts cannot be applied.
Always review the specific promotion's terms, as stipulations and exclusions may apply.
Can I use more than one promo code per order?
No. Discounts cannot be stacked or combined.
If you have multiple codes available, we recommend using the offer that provides the best value for your purchase.
How do I apply a promo code?
To apply a promo code:
- Add your eligible items to your cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Enter your code in the Discount Code field.
- Select Apply.
- Confirm that the discount appears before completing your purchase.
Important: Promo codes must be applied before checkout is completed. Once an order is submitted, we are unable to add, apply, or adjust discount codes.
Why isn’t my promo code working?
If your code is not applying, try the following:
- Check your account: Some codes are tied to a specific email address or customer account.
- Verify the code is valid: Certain codes may expire, have usage limits, or apply only to specific products or customers.
- Review the offer terms: Emailed codes and promotional offers may have additional stipulations, exclusions, or eligibility requirements. Please read the full email and offer details carefully.
- Check item eligibility: Promo codes may not apply to sale items, excluded products, or items marked as non-discount eligible.
- Enter the code carefully: Some codes may be case-sensitive. Double-check for similar characters, such as “O” and “0.”
- Check for other promotions: Some offers cannot be combined with site-wide sales or other discounts.

Can you add a promo code after my order is placed?
Unfortunately, promo codes cannot be added after an order has been submitted. Please make sure your discount appears in your cart before completing checkout, as pricing is finalized once the order is placed.
Can I receive an additional discount or a birthday code?
We’re unable to create additional discount codes, extend expired promotions, or apply new discounts to completed orders.
