Return & Exchange Policy


We want you to love every item you order! If something doesn’t work out, we’re happy to help with a return or exchange within 45 days of delivery (per tracking information), as long as the items are brand-new, unworn, and unwashed with tags attached.

For U.S. orders, return labels can be accessed after submitting your request—on both your confirmation page or by simply clicking “View Your Return” on your return confirmation email. Once your return is submitted, please make sure to send it back within 21 days. After that window, the return label and request will become void.

Sale Items
All sale items are clearly marked as either:

  • Final Sale – Not eligible for return or exchange.

  • Exchange Only – Eligible for size or style exchanges (up-charge may apply) or store credit.

Mystery Bundles and free promotional items are considered Final Sale.


Eligible Items

  • Apparel: Must have original tags attached and be free of stains, deodorant marks, perfume, makeup, and pet hair.

  • Swimwear: Must have the hygienic liner intact.

  • Shoes: See below for detailed shoe return info.

  • Items should be returned in their original clear plastic bag with the barcode label intact.

We reserve the right to adjust or deny returns if items are not received in new condition.


Shoe Returns

Shoes must be in new, unworn condition to qualify for return or exchange.

  • Shoes with visible signs of wear, scuffs, dirt, or damage cannot be accepted for return or exchange.

  • Please return shoes in their original shoebox (undamaged and in reusable condition), placed inside another package to protect the box during shipping. The shoebox is an integral part of the shoe purchase, please do not apply the return label directly to the shoebox itself. Damaged boxes may incur a damage fee at time of warehouse processing.


How to Start a Return or Exchange

  1. Open our Return & Exchange Portal.

  2. Enter your order number and zip code.

  3. Select the item(s) you’d like to return or exchange.

  4. Choose one of the following options:

    • Exchange for a new size

    • Exchange for a different item

    • Return for store credit (no fee)

    • Return for a refund to your original payment method for eligible items($12 processing fee)


Instant Exchange & Shop Now Options

  • Instant Exchange:

    • A $1 hold is placed on your card.

    • Replacement items ship before your return arrives.

    • If your original item isn’t received, your card will be charged.

    • Once submitted, these cannot be edited—please double-check size and style.

  • Shop Now Bonus:

    • Original order discounts carry over to new items.

    • Applies only to new purchases during the exchange process.

    • Any unused portion of credit won’t carry over.

    • Additional discounts cannot be applied during exchanges.

Important: Avoid logging into PayPal, Shop Pay, or other third-party checkouts during this process—doing so creates a new order instead of an exchange and we are not able to adjust this.


Processing & Refund Details

  • Returns are processed within 5–7 business days after they arrive at our warehouse.

  • Refunds to your original payment method incur a $12 restocking fee for eligible items.

  • Returns for store credit have no fee deducted.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • If your order was paid with both a gift card and another payment method, the refund will go to the gift card first.

  • Each order must be returned separately. The return portal does not allow multiple orders to be combined.


International, APO/FPO, and Military Returns

  • Return labels are not provided for international or military addresses.

  • Please use your own pre-paid label to return items to the U.S.

  • Include a note indicating whether you’d like a store credit or refund (depending on eligibility).

Refunds for International and Military Returns will be processed once we receive the items back to the warehouse. Please note we do not have access to your label tracking unless you provide it.


Warranty

All Born Primitive shoes are guaranteed for 12 months from the original purchase date for manufacturing defects. Clothing and gear is guaranteed for 6 months. If you believe there’s an issue with your product not related to normal wear and tear, please contact [email protected] within 30 days of receipt.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the issue

  • A short description of the concern

If purchased through a third-party retailer, please reach out to them directly for replacements or warranty assistance.


In-Person Returns

At this time, all online orders must be returned or exchanged through our Return & Exchange Portal.

We do not accept in-store drop-offs or exchanges for online orders at our Warehouse or Flagship locations.

All Flagship store purchases must be returned or exchanged in person to the Flagship location.
